Beyond toastadas, the menu features a thoughtful selection of classic mains such as enchiladas and sopes, lovingly prepared and well-portioned. The restaurant also excels with its appetizers—offering delicacies like Pedazera y Cuerritos and other traditional treats that showcase a deep respect for regional flavors and textures. Patrons praise the salsas and onion assortments served alongside, which complement each dish with nuanced layers of heat and acidity.

The atmosphere at Cenaduria Elvira matches the quality of the food. Described by diners as a cozy backyard setup, it invites a relaxed experience focused on sharing and savoring. Love the food here. I’ve almost given up finding good tacos in the Bay Area, but the tacos dorados were delicious! So crunchy and fresh. The little setup in the backyard was very cute. The prices were incredibly reasonable for how well we ate. Looking forward to coming back!

This place is so tasty! I’ve been meaning to drop in for some time, finally got around to it and now I’m kicking myself for not getting here sooner. Don’t be me. We tried a tostada raspada, tacos dorados, pozole, a sope, and a couple tamales. Everything was fantastic, but absolutely do not skip the tostada! We got it with chicken, highly recommend. The sauce they pour on it is just so delicious. Honestly we’d order everything again, there were no misses. And if they happen to have tamales, the chicken w green mole was so delicious, fluffy and expertly seasoned.

A gem of a dining space in the Fruitvale area. They offer some unique dishes that you won’t find elsewhere. Nothing was mind blowing, but everything was as delicious. Love the salsas and onion assortment that they serve on the side.

Wow. Amazing Mexican food in a comfy setting. Look for the sign on the sidewalk, it's in a backyard. We got almost one of everything on the menu, it was all delicious. Great salsa picante.

Great find! I wish I lived closer! If you know cuisine from Guadalajara /Jalisco you will be so glad you found this place! The food is great. This is the first time ever that I ordered a torta ahogada in the States. Usually at other restaurants they have very soggy bread, but at Elviras they have the actual bread you are supposed to use - a sour baguette-Ish which is bolillo salado! Their spicy salsa is great! Then the Tostadas are so good. Probably my favorite of them all. The tacos are great! My favorite being the papa (potato) tacos. The pozole was also good The owners as very welcoming and attentive! The actual place is small but so worth the wait. Just make sure you arrive early because they tend to sell out. If you are used to Americanized Mexican food this will be a change for you. This authentic food/flavors from Jalisco!

Went to their new place on 3rd for their soft opening - WOW!! The food was incredible - we kept ordering more. We had the tostada raspada and the torta ahogada and ended up ordering a bonus sope and chicken enchilada. All really flavorful and the tostadas are so crisp. Don't miss this place!!

So excited to have this brick and mortar in Jack London. The food is fresh and a BARGAIN for the quality - the tostada was insane and a culinary experience. I also loved their tacos dorados. Excited to try their other dishes. I'm rooting for them.
